The Athenaeum is a dramatic and memorable site for wedding ceremonies, receptions, parties and seminars. The upstairs galleries hold up to 120 people for standing parties or 60 people for seated reception with a dance floor or 80 people without a dance floor. The charming courtyard provides a beautiful outdoor space for up to 50 people standing or 50 seated for a ceremony.
All of our rentals include the Athenaeum building and courtyard .
As always, rental inquiries are handled on a case-by-case basis and we will be happy to discuss your individual needs.
The Athenaeum is available for viewing during gallery hours or by appointment. Gallery hours are Thursday-Sunday from 12:00pm-4:00pm. The Athenaeum is closed on holidays. Advance notice for viewing the Athenaeum is appreciated.
Renters of the Athenaeum must be members of the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association at the Supporter level ($100) or above. Renters must review and sign the Rules and Regulations for Renting the Athenaeum, Release of Liability for Renting the Athenaeum, and complete an event information form. Reservations are complete with the return of a signed contract, 50% deposit, and $1000 refundable security deposit. Final payments and all insurance documentation are due 30 days prior to event date.
